Name

Ripley

Breed/color

Shetland Sheepdog or "Sheltie"

Birthdate

April 1, 2002

Height/Weight

17" at the shoulder / 27 lbs.

Personality

Ripley is a very "lovey, dovey, cuddly" kind of guy. He is always looking for his new best friend to play with and he seems to have a fondness for older dogs too. He loves to lay in your lap and cuddle, he also loves to be groomed and will push his way in while I am trying to groom other dogs. He loves to get doggie massages, he will elicit sounds of pure heaven while he is getting massaged or groomed. He loves nothing more than cuddling by your side!

Training

Ripley is training thru the Utility level in obedience, which is the highest level in obedience training.

 Awards/Titles:

Ripley is an AKC Champion and an International Kennel Club Champion, he received several Best of Breeds awards while he was showing to get his Championship Titles. He has his AKC CDX Title and a World Wide Kennel Club CD Title. He is also R.E.A.D. registered.

How Do You Know That Your Dog Loves Therapy Work?

Ripley gets very excited as soon as I get his Therapy Dog Vest out, he jumps around the room very excited. He loves being petted and meeting new friends. He has four sheltie siblings that are registered Therapy Dogs and each one is very eager to go on a visit, as soon as they see their Therapy Dog Vest they all follow Wendy into the garage and into the van thinking they are the ones going on a visit, it is hard to leave the others behind because they are all so eager to go!
