Meet Our Retired Therapy Dogs

Border Collie / Husky Mix (Black and White with blue eyes)

June 2011

23" / 50 lbs.

Madison is pretty laid back (unless there is a squirrel).  She is great with the seniors and the Pet a Pet visits we’ve done.  She’s young still, gets excited around other dogs but she knows when she’s working.

Puppy 1 and 2, Teenager, Obedience 1 and 2; Dog Sports, Agility (2 yrs), NoseWork.

Awards / Titles

Canine Good Citizen, NoseWork 1, Pet Partners registered therapy dog.

How Do You Know That Your Dog Loves Therapy Work?

We are still pretty new to this, but Madison needs a job and since she has hip dysplasia (and has had her back left hip removed) we knew agility (other than for fun) was out of the question. She loves nosework and she also seems to really like going to the various facilities and meeting new people (she has a pep in her step when she wants to do something and her face lights up like in the picture above).
