How Can I Participate with My Dog?

Pets for Vets / PAWSitive Therapy Troupe welcomes the application of potential new volunteer teams.

Qualifications for acceptance into the program include the following:

• Successful completion of the 6 week Introduction to Animal-Assisted Therapy class for teams that have never been certified as Delta Society Pet Partners, followed by successful completion of certification test at a later date
• Proof of current registration as Delta Society Pet Partner
• Completion of Hines VA Hospital general orientation class
• Completion of Troupe-specific orientation
• Submission of dog’s annual health records
